Genocide in Iraq
Submitted by David Model on Sun, 2008-07-06 17:45.Genocide in Iraq
Despite the precipitous plunge in his popularity and growing criticism of his competency, character, and style, George W. Bush is not really that much different from other presidents with respect to his hegemonic ambitions or his proclivity to use force to achieve foreign policy objectives. Continuing historical patterns, President Bush and all presidents since World War II have committed horrendous crimes against humanity in order to protect and advance American interests under the guise of liberating people from under the jackboot of brutal dictators or communist subversives, bringing democracy to totalitarian states, improving the lives of those who are suffering and eradicating terrorism.

EVALUATION OF THE JUNE 28-29, 2008, NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO END THE IRAQ WAR

AND OCCUPATION
By Jerry Gordon, Marilyn Levin and Jeff Mackler
Members of the Administrative Committee of the Assembly’s 50-Member
Coordinating Committee
Our overall assessment is that the conference was an overwhelming success.
Over 400 people from many parts of the country and Canada attended,
including a bus of 44 -- mostly youth -- from Connecticut (see breakdown
by states below). The conference met its main objective, which was to
urge united and massive mobilizations in the spring to “Bring the Troops
Home Now,” as well as supporting actions that build towards that date. It
also provided a prototype for how an antiwar movement can function
effectively and democratically. The one person-one vote voting formula
made everyone feel involved, able to have a voice, and capable of
influencing decisions on critical issues. People left the conference sky

Stop The "Iran War Resolution"
Submitted by yankhadenuf on Sun, 2008-06-22 03:29.http://stopaipac.org/iranresolution.htm
"Stop The "Iran War Resolution"
It may not be officially called by that name, but make no mistake, House Resolution 362 (and the Senate version Res. 580) urges U.S. military aggression against Iran.
While the speeches of the Presidential candidates received most of the media attention at this year's AIPAC Policy Conference, the focus was mostly on "taking action on Iran". When AIPAC urges action, that usually means military action. So it is not surprising that it is urging Congress to effectively place a naval embargo on Iran. An act of war. A crime against peace.
Congress set to Approve IraN War Resolution. It's Deja Vu all over again.
Submitted by TomJoad on Sat, 2008-06-21 16:38.Just when you thought a Congress with a Democratic Party majority could not debase itself any further, having just approved massive funding for the Iraq war and given the corporate criminal accomplices of Bush's attack on the Bill of Rights a free pass... along comes the mother of all insane resolutions of our time. This is even worse than the notorious Iraq War Resolution.
Resolution 362 in the House (not officially named the "Iran War Resolution", but nonetheless amounting to nothing less than that)will effectively demand the US to impose a naval blockade of Iran, an act of war.
We must take action to stop this. Please, please, please, go to this Just Foreign Policy Web page and register your opposition.
National Assembly in Cleveland
Submitted by PeteinDC on Fri, 2008-06-06 15:13.I plan on attending Cleveland but many of us have concerns. I do like the intention of this assembly giving one person one vote... So, therefore, in the spirit of cooperation, here are some of the concerns I and others have:
1) That PDA's control and direction of the agenda and process be limited. Again, buttressing the sentiment above -- I think no group should have any more power than any other group. It should be more about grassroots activists who have been doing the heavy lifting day in, day out. Not PDA, not UFPJ and not ANSWER. Many of us believe this movement's great energy and spirit is from the true grassroots.
"You" are the Americans who can get us Impeachment Hearings before the election
Submitted by John H Kennedy ... on Thu, 2008-06-05 18:22.
Want to stop the Iraq War. Want the Democrats in Congress to stop the funding for the war? Want accountability.
Our group firmly believes the war will go on for years regardless of which party wins the White House. We also believe that the Democrats will after the election do absolutely nothing about accountability.
FACT: The Democrats will win majorities in the House and Senate regardless of what any activists do or don't do.
The public is so disgusted with what the Republicans have done to our Country that indeed a donkey could get elected simply because the beast is Not a Republican.
So quit worrying about the House or Senate going Republican again. That is not going to happen.
Instead, Worry about having a President in the near future who commits much worse crimes against the Constitution. It will probably be too late at that point to protect the Constitution and our rights.
McCain violates human rights of indigenous NATIVE AMERICANS here at home...for coal
Submitted by yankhadenuf on Sun, 2008-04-27 17:07.We all know that John McCain violates the human rights of indigenous peoples of the world in their own native lands under the vile guise of the false "spreadin' democracy" doctrine , primarily to pirate their energy resources. But did you know that McCain does the same thing to Native Americans here at home for coal, in "his" Arizona State of the United States of America, and has been doing this for years? Most Americans do not know that McCain spearheaded this policy of forced relocation, thus resulting in genocide! Please spread this truth from Native Americans to everyone you know:

McCain will have a very difficult time answering questions dealing with bread 'n butter issues this November.
The Iraq Recession (Depression?) crosses all economic, social and party lines.
Now Here's Something Interesting

Granted the delegate count doesn't look none too promising for the guy, but he's still hanging in there against the odds. I would offer that he's still there because many people across this land we call the United States of America are simply not happy with the THREE CHOICES (MCCAIN, OBAMA, HBILLARY) that the powers to be have given us to choose from. I personally don't consider any of the THREE one of my choices.

I figured since we have a president who talks to God I could write something crazy BUT TRUE TOO.
The words I am about to share with the whole world right now are 99% true.
I should have known when I recalled arriving to my mother's womb, who is named Mary-I never meet anyone who can honestly say that and my last name means carpenter in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic.........
Ah, those were the days, my mom's womb, a nice safe place to chill and do nothing. Plus I had three radical miricles that should have taken my life and others but my DAD stuck his invisible hand in the way so I guess that makes me a Saint too. See God my father never talked to me with sound so George Bush is full of s@#t when he says he talks to my Dad, my Dad can't stand him.
I am sad, where is the Love I taught you, why did you let the devil rule you with his evil?

Add this to the number of US dead and US severly wounded and we have more than enough reason to get the hell out of Dodge before sundown, I think.
And then there is the other side (the Iraqi) to consider -- those that have not been killed must be suffering hell on earth // another reason for us to close down this war and impeach and otherwise prosecute the bastards that got us all mixed up in this mess in the first place based upon a litney of lies.
