Impeachment activists, fellow citizen patriots, defenders of our Constitution,

We have arrived at a crossroads that we have struggled ceaselessly to achieve over the last 2, 3, 4, even 7 years for some. Maybe this Friday's House Judicial Committee appearance in response to Kucinich' Impeachment Article was initiated in an attempt to molify us, but that is irrelevant. What is pertinent is that this coming Friday, July 25th, impeachable offenses - by any name - will be the exclusive topic of a House Judiciary Committee hearing.

This is not now looking like an event giving Kucinich a token moment in an attempt to placate what is far too often inaccurately written off as 'the far left'. This is developing into potentially much, much more. The Red Cross has identified members of the Bush Administration as war criminals. Karl Rove is on the verge of arrest as reports of his multiple crimes are slowly growing out from isolated independent news sources and finally seeping into the headlines of major newspapers. Evidence pertaining to Vice President Cheney's involvement in the treasonous outing of CIA NOC Valerie Plame may soon be subject to subpoena. The attempted empire-building coup d'etat, Imperial Regime of the Bush Crime family may be collapsing under it's own apparent limitless ruthlessness, arrogance and hubris.

It is important to note that among those who will be called upon to make statements this Friday are some of the most vociferous and consistent national voices for impeachment including Elizabeth Holtzman, Bruce Fein, John Dean and Ralph Nader along with Rep. Kucinich. We are getting 'our day in court', so to speak, through these luminary proxies.

We have worked too hard, done far too much, to at this critical moment let this opportunity fall to the wayside. Certainly it has been manipulated and timed for political expediency by the national Democratic Party leadership, but that is also irrelevant.

Now is the time to capitalize on this opportunity. This week is the week we have been waiting for.

If you have called before, call twice as often. If you have recruited others to do so in the past, do much more. Redouble every effort to bring attention to this hearing. Demand that your local paper cover it. Call their editors and any friendly journalists. Call your own Representative and ask them to lobby members of the HJC on your behalf. Contact members of the HJC directly and appeal to their integrity, their honor and their oaths of office to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies [...] domestic" residing in our White House.

After the hearing will be a new chapter, with different strategies and action steps depending upon what transpires. But what happens this Friday is not yet determined. We are not victims of our mediocre governement. We ARE the government if we insist upon our representatives hearing us and acting accordingly.

Be the leader you want to see in action. Embody the leadership you see so lacking in others.
