You won't any longer find a link to this transcript on the White House website--nor, indeed, are there links to most of Cheney's interviews from before 2006. Don't believe me? Just do a search for that infamous sentence at www.whitehouse.gov
The WH website evidently has been busy scrubbing links to interviews and perhaps other public appearances by top officials. The operation has proceeded somewhat unevenly, though aggressively. Pretty clearly the WH wants to make it much harder to research the administration's past pronouncements, especially unscripted ones, and especially those pertaining to Iraq.

My favorite part of this pathetic attempt at a Grown-Up "Plausible Deniability" is where brother Richard Porter of the BBC writes:
"We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage (for reasons of cock-up, not conspiracy). So if someone has got a recording of our output, I'd love to get hold of it."

Funny, back when I owned my commercial studio in Cary, North Cackilacki we'd always make "back-up copies" of important tapes and store them off-site . . .but I'm sure we were the ONLY folks in the world that ever thought of this strategy . . .;-)
Of course, it is just such a "quinki-dink" that ALL the Major Main Stream Media Outlets have pulled their 9/11 archives . . . what are they so afraid we kidz that know better than believe Grown-Ups might find upon careful inspection and application of "LOGIC" and "REASON" versus "FEAR REACTION"?
But "Riddle Me This" - How could an island country with a high dependency on fossil fuels but no natural resources of its own POSSIBLY benefit from the invasion and occupation of an OIL RICH country or two?
